Review – The Dawning of an age - Betina Meyler (Artist)
“Spent a lovely evening at the Wexford Library tonight listening to singer/songwriter Imelda Kehoe doing what she does best. When you close your eyes and just listen…, she transports you right back to the places she sings about. Weaving her stories together with evocative songwriting lyrics, results in an interesting blend of history / her travels / geography-/ and her interest in far flung, very remote places and the adventures of those who have gone before. It made for a wonderful hour of getting “lost in a world of one’s own imagination”. Beautiful Accompaniment by Mick Egan on guitar too.”
Review - The Dawning of An Age - The Wexford Library
"We`ve had a truly wonderful evening as part of the Wexford Fringe Festival, with Imelda Kehoe presenting The Dawning of an Age.
"The library was full, and from the very first note, Imelda’s beautiful voice, captivating storytelling and heartfelt original songs created an atmosphere that was nothing short of magical. The audience was transported on a remarkable journey to the High Arctic of Svalbard and into the lives of the whalers, trappers, miners, explorers and railway navvies whose stories are woven together through music, history and folklore.
Through her extraordinary talent, Imelda brought these stories to life with warmth, depth and genuine emotion, reminding us of the human lives behind the great changes that shaped our world. It was a privilege to experience such a moving and memorable performance in the wonderful setting of Wexford Library.
A huge congratulations and heartfelt thank you to Imelda Kehoe for sharing her talent, passion and beautiful music with us, to Tom Mooney for presenting, and to everyone involved in organising and supporting this fantastic event as part of the Wexford Fringe Festival.
Most of all, thank you to everyone who came along and filled the library with such a wonderful atmosphere. Your presence and support helped make the evening so special.
An unforgettable night of music, stories and shared experience and a beautiful reminder of the magic that happens when talented artists, meaningful stories and an appreciative audience come together. "

Review - The Dawning of An Age - Jackie Hayden - Journalist and Music Reviewer for Hot Press (Retired)
“Thoroughly enjoyable and provocative event. IK is a calm, confident and articulate speaker who doesn’t need to over-dramatise the events she describes. The sound quality for both her voice and the guitar was faultless.”
Review - Ian Barry (Musician & Songwriter)
“Congratulations on last night's performance, it was spellbinding. Well researched, nicely paced and engagingly delivered. The songs tied in perfectly and were memorable in themselves. Nice touches of humour, which kept the tone from getting too serious.”
